First New Moon of 2024
The January New Moon will occur on Thursday the 11th! On this night the skies will be dark and moonless but in the following days the Moon will be in a Waxing Crescent phase that can be seen in the western horizon at dusk. January can be a great time of the year to witness the Waxing Crescent if you don't mind the cold evenings.
