On July 23rd and 24th the Moon will be in a Waning Gibbous Phase. Durning a Waning Gibbous Phase the moon is best viewed in the west in early morning just before sunrise. The Last Quarter Moon with a illumination of 50% is on July 25th. After the Last Quarter Moon the Moon's illumination will grow smaller each day until the next New Moon.
