October's New Moon is here with dark night skies setting the stage for this spooky time of year. An added plus for this New Moon is the Draconids Meteor Shower which will peak on the night of Oct 8th durning the New moon. Not one of the more active showers averaging only 5 shooting stars and hour but should be helped by the dark skies. October’s Full Moon, commonly known as the Hunter’s Moon, falls closer to Halloween on the 24th.
